Why Carrier Vetting Matters

The IZY Carrier Vetting Checklist

Active MC number verified through FMCSA SAFER. Satisfactory or unrated safety rating only. Certificate of Insurance showing $1M auto liability and $100K cargo minimum — verified directly with the insurer. CSA BASIC scores reviewed for Unsafe Driving and Driver Fitness flags. Third-party carrier monitoring through MyCarrierPortal for real-time insurance and authority status.

What Gets a Carrier Disqualified

Conditional or Unsatisfactory safety rating. Insurance lapse or inadequate coverage. Authority issued less than 6 months ago (requires additional review). Identity theft red flags such as recently changed MC address. Confirmed prior double-brokering incidents.
